About Us
The National Respiratory Communications Initiative (NRCI) brings together leading immunization, infectious disease, patient advocacy, and public health organizations to make evidence-based prevention guidance easier to find, understand, and use.
Immunization is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of serious respiratory illness. Yet many people remain confused about which vaccines they need, when to get them, and where to go — and fragmented public education efforts can make it hard for trusted information to break through.
To address this challenge, the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) in collaboration with partner organizations, including the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM), Immunize.org | National Adult Influenza and Immunization Summit, and Vaccinate Your Family, established NRCI— a collaborative working to ensure that evidence-based information about respiratory disease prevention, including influenza, COVID-19, RSV, and pneumococcal disease, is clear, consistent, and accessible for everyone.
Through coordinated communications and educational resources, NRCI equips individuals, families, and healthcare professionals with the information they need to make informed respiratory health decisions.

NRCI Steering Committee

NRCI is convened by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) in partnership with the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM), Immunize.org | National Adult Influenza and Immunization Summit, and Vaccinate Your Family, with support from additional organizations and experts who contribute to the initiative’s work in an advisory capacity.
